A Lively 10 year Anniversary Party at Grass Room in DTLA

10 years in, a lifetime to go.

When it came to their 10 year anniversary celebration, Johnathan & Vanessa infused a beautiful amount of their culture, passions, and personality into this day to make it an unforgettable party. 

They highlighted Vanessa’s Salvadorian culture by serving pupusas from Pupusas Salvadoreñas, we watched the entire room light up in a 50/50 mix of sheer joy and competitiveness during a 2016 themed trivia game, they held an open mic for heartfelt speeches, and they even organized a raffle to donate to immigrants affected by ICE.

I can't forget the most integral part of the entire celebration was their corgi, Bumble, who showed up in a spiffy tux.

This event at Grass Room, DTLA was one for the books! This day was shot on a mix of digital, portra 400 film, and ilford 400 film.

Vox DJ's kept the energy up during dinner with 2016 themed trivia competition, better known as trivia from the year Johnathan & Vanessa got married. This was one of my favorite parts of the night.

Grass Room features a large projector screen in the reception space. Johnathan and Vanessa had fun clips of them running the whole night but at one point everyone naturally and sweetly quieted to watch a video of Johnathan & Vanessa doing their first dance on their wedding night 10 years prior.
