Hi,

I'm Lauren.

My love for photography began when I found an old Kodak film camera at the bottom of my childhood dresser. That camera was intended for 2011 sleep-away camp but I never finished the roll. I figured why waste it? I carried that camera with me everywhere I went, and whenever I found a scene I really liked I snapped the shot, only to see it months later when I developed the roll. The intentionality of film photography combined with the anticipation and rush of nostalgia I had upon receiving the developed photos sparked what would end up being a lifelong love for photography.

The next Christmas I got my own point and shoot camera that pretty much became my second arm. This then morphed into me sort of permanently borrowing my dad's Nikon D5000 (thanks dad) to take photos of any scene I found interesting. I quickly developed a love for digital and film photography which matured nicely alongside my innate desire to travel.

In late 2022 I jumped headfirst into wedding photography and learned that I am very fond of seeking out precious moments and smiling faces and preserving them into concrete memories that can be fondly looked back on for generations to come.

I’m based in Los Angeles, and when I'm not shooting weddings, portraits, or brand photos I'm traveling the country, finding landscapes that inspire me, and attempting to make unique photographs that bring you right back to the scene. I'm always hoping my photos are reminiscent of the same feeling you might get when you sit down to flip through an old family photo album filled with perfectly imperfect candids and genuine smiles.
