When gray sky showers brought us a coveted clear day at Sunset Cliffs

I wish I could show you what I meant by gray skies. My drive from Los Angeles to San Diego this afternoon featured some of the gloomiest weather I had ever seen in SoCal. Record breaking bleak. Even I, a very hopeful gal, was starting to doubt my local weather channel that promised a bit of sunlight this evening. But nevertheless, I showed up to Sunset Cliffs and persisted through scouting even as the gloomy mist persisted to coat my glasses and camera lens. Like some magical clockwork, right as Bianca & Ozzie pulled into the lot the sun peaked through the gloom. Almost at once the entire atmosphere changed. I was ripping off layers and ready to make magic. Sorry to ever doubt you, weatherman.

So many of these beautiful shots wouldn't have been possible without Bianca & Ozzie's total willingness for a little adventure.

Sunset Cliffs is a great location for engagement photos. It's an expansive 1.5 mile stretch along the water with so much room to roam.

The California coast is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's most beautiful though, in one of those rare moments after a good rainstorm. The rainbows make an appearance, the mountain peaks get topped with snow, the air is clean and clear, and the skies turn a range of pink & purples which is what we were blessed with on this night in San Diego.

If you're reading this Bianca & Ozzie, I cannot wait to shoot your wedding!

Say hello.
